When you are starting the track, the game shows you how to ride well enough. Put up a shot of a motorcyclist moving through the terrain to show that it could be you. And you continue as the time in passing levels means something. The track is full of obstacles that you just can't pass at the same speed. Some will knock you over, like huge round barrels stuck in the ground. Also, you have to check that your wheels are on the ground, as a rollover means you have to restart the level. To find out where you are right now, the game shows how many meters you have left to go and how long you've been pedaling. The faster you get there, the better pilot you are.
