First of all, the danger is staying on the left edge too long: if you can't jump as needed, getting close to the left edge of the playfield will definitely kill you. And it is not the limit itself: the danger area is about 15% of the entire left side. Since it is impossible to go back, the square will die after entering one of those. Consider that your demise may come faster and faster, as some of those dead ends are riddled with spikes. So this is a game of dying and even if you are going to be super agile and super attentive, the only real question that should be of interest to you is that not when you pass the level but when you die. And, how much of the track will you be able to cover before this happens.
